The Ice Rink Company (Planet Ice) contacted Paul Blow, our Business Development Manager directly, requesting an Access Control Entrance solution for their latest site in Bristol.
Our team ensured that early site communication was established quickly, which was then followed by a site visit in order to gain an in depth understanding of the full site brief, along with specific insight into the intended location of the barriers.
Selecting the best retail gates
Working with the client, Retail Associates issued ground floor GA drawings, highlighting the numerous options available to The Ice Rink company and sharing our knowledge and expertise in order to propose various turnstile, speedlane or gate proposals including a full cost breakdown.
After the client visited our factory and showroom to see the options in action, the SG Retail Gate was selected as the optimum solution thanks to its functionality, compact size and stylish aesthetic. Stainless steel glass partition barriers were also used to segregate the entry and exit lanes and protect the gate openings.
Due to the location of the reception desk and confined entrance and exit routes within the reception foyer, this solution also offered the maximum number of required barriers in addition to the gate parameter settings that allowed it to function, as per previous Planet Ice sites.
Once the client’s order was placed, gate templates were taken to the site, fixing points and electrical requirements were highlighted before installation dates were then confirmed and agreed.
All installation works and gate commissioning were completed on schedule for secondary access control equipment to be integrated (by others) and the site opening.
