Case Study: Oval House, Brixton
As renowned experts in supplying state of the art access control systems, our team were asked to submit prices for speed lane barrier solutions to IFSE, who were fit-out contractors to both reception and bar/kitchen facilities for Oval House in Brixton. The project and all works were under the instruction of the project’s main contractor, Galliford Try.
After consultation with both the lead architect of the project in addition to the client, the PG300 range of barriers were identified as the optimal solution.
Quick and efficient barrier installation
Our team ordered PG300 range of barriers in addition to a reception desk control station. The sleek appearance of the barriers ensured that the reception desk position and access was maintained.
Various site visits were made during the duration of the project, and our engineers issued an installation site programme that was increased due to both Covid and delays and the availability of materials.
We also supplied product floor fixing templates to the site in order to accurately enable the cable entry location to be identified. It was then agreed that all services would be basement fed to avoid existing installed cable routes.
Retail Associates installation team worked with the supervision of site electrical contractors and fire alarm integrators, to ensure all works were completed and commissioned over a two day period. Installation was undertaken and completed early December 2021, site opening is planned for early 2022.
